Discover Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is one of the gems of the French Riviera. A little paradise renowned for its idyllic setting  and ultra-exclusive atmosphere. We have made a small selection of the most famous attractions located close to the welcome event and brunch venues as well as recommended hotels.

Cap-Ferrat Walking Tour

The Cap-Ferrat walking tour offers a lovely circuit starting at Chemin de la Carrière, the town’s former quarry. The path hugs the coastline, passing below the Four Seasons, before reaching the lighthouse and Pointe Malalongue. You will encounter several coves until you reach Passable beach which faces Villefranche harbor with its citadel dominated by Mont Alban castle.

Duration: 2 hours - comfortable footwear recommended.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild & Gardens

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a lavish Belle Époque mansion on the French Riviera, renowned for its opulent architecture, exquisite gardens, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The ticket costs 16 euros per person. The villa is open from 10 am to 6 pm and has a very cute restaurant with a tea room.

Exotic Gardens at Eze & La Chèvre d'Or

The Jardins Exotiques d'Èze is an exceptional site perched at the top of the medieval village of Èze, more than 400 meters above the sea. This unique botanical garden offers an incredible panoramic view of the entire Côte d'Azur, from Saint-Tropez to Italy on a clear day. 

For refreshment, take a break and grab a cocktail at La Chevre D’Or, a luxurious establishment with spectacular views of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, a special place for us as we got engaged there.

Beaulieu village & Port

Departing from the Royal Riviera hotel, take a stroll along the Beaulieu-sur-Mer sea front, following the road round to the port with the dramatic cliffs as the backdrop. Head inland to Beaulieu village, browse the little shops and soak up the chic Mediterranean village vibes. Fun fact: Beaulieu-sur-Mer is literally translates into English as “beautiful place by the sea”!

Stroll the Promenade des Anglais, an elegant urban seafront that curves almost 5 miles round the Bay of Angels. Cross into the atmospheric old quarter (Vieux Nice), a labyrinth of narrow streets packed with local commerce. Make sure to visit the city’s fabulous food and flower market located on Cours Saleya which is held every morning except Mondays (antiques). The city also boasts the Riviera’s best museums - the Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum and Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, to name but a few.

... and its Colline du Château

For breathtaking views over the Promenade des Anglais and the enchanting old town, make your way up to Castle Hill (Colline du Château). Accessible by a scenic walk or elevator, this serene spot is home to the ruins of an ancient castle and offers a lush park perfect for a leisurely stroll or a quiet escape from the city below. The panoramic vistas from the top are truly unforgettable, making it a must-visit in Nice.

Èze, a Medieval village

Where we got engaged and our favorite place on the Riviera. This rocky little Medieval hilltop village perched on an impossible peak is the jewel in the Riviera crown. A hike up to Fort de la Revère will yield incredible views of the Mediterranean coast, and lead to a lovely picnic spot. We recommend taking a car or bus from Nice, as the train drops you at the bottom of the cliffs.

Antibes Old Town

Immerse yourself in the charm of Antibes Old Town, a picturesque fortress town where Napoleon experienced a brief incarceration during the French Revolution. Explore the Picasso Museum, a captivating homage to the artist housed in his former residence, marking the first museum dedicated to the public.

Monaco

Monaco is an independent microstate on France’s Mediterranean coastline, known for its glitzy casinos, yacht-lined harbor and prestigious Grand Prix motor race, which runs through Monaco’s streets once a year in May. Monte Carlo, its major district, has an elegant Belle Époque casino complex, ornate opera house and luxury hotels, boutiques, nightclubs and French and Italian restaurants.

Make sure to bring your passport if you want to visit the casino.

Saint-Paul-de-Vence

Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a medieval gem in Provence, France, enchants visitors with its cobblestone streets and historic charm. Home to the Fondation Maeght, an influential art foundation, the village has been a haven for artists. Don't miss the iconic Colombe d’Or restaurant, where famous creatives once exchanged art for meals. Take a stroll along the ramparts, the ancient walls encircling the village, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Saint-Paul-de-Vence seamlessly combines artistic legacy with scenic beauty, making it a must-visit destination in the heart of Provence.
